HDF NeighborkWorks Charter Celebration
HDF celebrated our charter as a member of NeighborWorks America at the Office of Governor Dannel P. Malloy in Hartford yesterday, with remarks from the Governor, HDF President and CEO Joan Carty, NeighborWorks America Northeast Regional Director Deborah Boatright, HDF Board Chair Robin Gallagher of Webster Bank and a gathering of partners, HDF staff and board members.
Established in 1989 to promote affordable, sustainable homeownership opportunities for Connecticut’s hardworking families, HDF is proud to become a part of NeighborWorks’ national network – 235 independent, community-based nonprofit organizations serving more than 4,500 communities nationwide.
All of the participants in Monday’s ceremony shared a clear strong vision of the benefits communities gain by increasing access to high-quality affordable housing.
