BRIEF HISTORY OF THE ORGANIZATION
The
Housing Development Fund, Inc was established in 1989 as a
non-profit organization to finance the development of affordable
housing. Since then, it has grown to a loan fund with over
$28 million in assets, and encompasses programs for pre-development
lending, acquisition, rehabilitation, and new construction.
Hundreds of affordable housing units have been built with
HDF financing. HDF projects have included affordable family
housing, senior housing, special needs housing and supportive
housing. In addition to HDF’s commercial financing,
HDF operates various down payment assistance programs, which
have helped hundreds of low- and moderate-income households
achieve the dream of homeownership. Browse our site to find
