HDF receives $100k grant

STAMFORD -- Housing Development Fund (HDF), a unique nonprofit bank providing funding for affordable housing and an array of homebuyer assistance programs, has received a $100,000 competitive grant from the Fairfield County Community Foundation (FCCF). HDF will receive $50,000 in each of the fiscal years 2009 and 2010, which will enable it to expand the reach of the Homebuyer Education & Counseling components of its First Time Homebuyer Program that also provides financial assistance.

Since 1997, more than 4,000 low- to moderate-income households have taken advantage HDF's First Time Homebuyer Counseling and Education Programs.
